The inhabitants of Karlskoga are urged to boil their tap water before drinking it. This is after a water leak during the night to Tuesday that left large parts of the town without water.

By 9 am, everyone had got their water back, reports Karlskoga Energi & Miljö on its website.

The water may, however, be discolored and the recommendation to boil the water applies until further notice.

"The precautionary principle still applies, which means that everyone connected to the municipal water supply network in Karlskoga should boil the water before consumption", writes the company.
