"Honestly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved that this part is over", says Jolie's lawyer James Simon in a statement to AP.
Jolie filed for divorce in September 2016. At that time, the former actor colleagues had been married for two years.
"She and the children left all the properties they had shared with Pitt, and since then she has focused on finding peace and healing for her family. This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago", the lawyer continues.
The former star couple has six children together. A judge declared them divorced in 2019, but the division of assets and child custody had to be resolved separately. Details of the divorce have been kept secret as the couple hired a private judge.
No court documents about the agreement have been submitted yet. Brad Pitt's lawyer has not commented on the statement either.
