Norwegian skiing star Therese Johaug failed to repeat Saturday's success when she won with almost a 40-second margin in the Norwegian premiere in Beitostølen.
She had to give in to Heidi Weng, who won Sunday's 10 km freestyle with only 0.6 seconds to spare over Johaug.
I think no one believed this today. I was very keen on revenge after yesterday. I think I've taken steps, and then I was a bit far behind, says Weng to NRK after the victory.
Johaug seemed to struggle a bit with the technique in the ski track, but could still put up a tough fight for the win. She and Weng were in a class of their own, third-placed Astrid Øyre Slind was half a minute behind at the finish.
It was tough. It was hard to ski well technically today, the skis just seemed to glide away from me, says Johaug.
