Israeli military attacked a building allegedly belonging to the Islamist movement Hezbollah south of Syria's capital Damascus on Sunday. Nine people were killed in the attack, according to the London-based Syrian Human Rights Observatory (SOHR).
SOHR relies on sources in Syria, but the information has not been confirmed by independent media organizations.
According to SOHR, a Lebanese commander within Hezbollah was killed in the attack. Additionally, four civilians – a woman and her three children – were killed in the attack, according to Rami Abdel Rahman, who leads SOHR.
The Israeli attack targeted a residential apartment in the Sayyida Zeinab area south of Damascus.
On Saturday, Israel carried out attacks on targets in northern Syria, in the Aleppo region and not far from the border with Turkey.
