The investigation into the three deaths at Northvolt in Skellefteå will not be completed until at least the autumn, reports Ekot.
It was after the third death in June that the police launched the investigation.
We will begin questioning next week, and then we'll see what investigative measures we need to take after that. But it may take a long time, says Johan Stabbfors, group leader of the environmental crime group in the police region North to Ekot.
Over the past six months, three men have been found dead in their homes. A 33-year-old father of three was found dead in his bed in January. A month later, another 19-year-old man was found dead in his bed.
In early June, a man in his 60s was found dead on his balcony. All three men had come home after working at the battery factory.
The forensic investigation has not been able to establish the cause of death in any of the cases.
They are being investigated separately and are classified as deaths without suspicion of crime. However, the police are investigating whether there is a connection.
We must be open to everything, says Stabbfors.
