The sale of food and other daily goods increased by 5.0 percent in October, compared to October last year. This growth rate has not been seen since May, according to Svensk Dagligvaruhandel.
"It may be a sign that consumers have adapted to the new price level that reflects the higher cost level that the entire food chain now has", says the organization's CEO Karin Brynell in a press release.
The sale in e-commerce increased more than the sale in stores: 6.4 percent compared to 4.9 percent.
"E-commerce with pickup in stores continues to drive e-commerce development, which sees growth for the tenth month in a row", comments Karin Brynell.
