It shone entirely green on Asia's leading stock exchanges in the week's initial trading. At lunchtime on Monday, Tokyo's Topix index was up 1.1 percent and the important Nikkei 225 was at plus 1.2 percent.
Shanghai's and Shenzhen's composite index were up 0.5 and 1.3 percent, respectively. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index had risen by 2.4 percent.
