Where: Strawberry arena, Solna.
When: Thursday to Sunday this week.
TV: TV4, TV12 and TV4 Play broadcast approximately 20 hours spread over four days.
The sports: High caliber in almost all events. The show features international competitions in show jumping, dressage, four-in-hand, eventing, and tölt.
Entertainment: A recurring part during the days at the national football arena. New for this year is a number with the Frenchwoman Rebecca Perrod and her three horses and their interaction.
Worth keeping an eye on:
+ The world's number one in show jumping, Henrik von Eckermann, leads the Swedish elite team on site. They are challenged by several foreign riders, led by Olympic gold medalist, Brit Scott Brash. The show jumping takes place all days and concludes with the GP class on Sunday, the most prestigious competition.
+ National team rider Patrik Kittel hosts the Top 10 competition in dressage and has managed to attract the Danish star trio Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour, Daniel Bachmann Andersen, and Nanna Skodborg Merrald to Solna. The trio took silver in the Olympic Games last summer. German Isabell Werth, who simultaneously took her eighth Olympic gold in the same event, challenges the Danes.
+ Eventing has over the years become a crowd-pleaser. Many and difficult obstacles in an indoor-adapted terrain moment on a small area mean speed and action.
For the younger ones: Jousting, Shetland ponies, pony dressage, stick horse competitions, and agility are some of the features.
