Google has removed several formulations around "diversity" and "equity" from the description of how their group responsible for fair AI should work, reports the site Techcrunch.
Words and expressions such as "marginalized communities", "different", and "underrepresented groups" have been replaced with "all", "varied", and "several".
The language changes should be seen in connection with similar corrections that Google has made recently in other departments, including its startup fund.
Google is one of several tech companies that have recently leaned towards newly elected Donald Trump when it comes to striking or reformulating goals around diversity, equality, and inclusion. Even Amazon and Meta have implemented similar measures.
