At least 22 people have been killed in new Israeli air strikes against Gaza, according to the Hamas-controlled civil defense authority.
Eleven of them are reported to have been killed in an attack on a school where thousands of civilians have sought refuge during the war. In the attack, 40 people are said to have been injured.
Israel is commenting on the reports by stating that the military has struck against Hamas members who "operated in a command and control center" that was embedded in what previously functioned as a school.
Among the 22 fatalities are also eleven Gaza residents who were killed in Israeli attacks during the night against Tuesday, including an attack on a residential building in Jabalia in northern Gaza, according to the civil defense authority.
