Adèle Haenel is 35 years old today, was the first French actress under #metoo who accused the country's film industry of not addressing sexual assaults.

She reported Christophe Ruggia for assaults that occurred when she was only 12 to 14 years old, which he himself denied as "pure lies".

Ruggia directed Haenel in 2002 in the film "Homesickness" which dealt with an incestuous relationship between a boy and his autistic sister.

From 2001 to 2004, Adèle Haenel visited the director almost every Saturday. In court, she told that he used to touch her body and that she didn't know how to free herself. According to her, he said that she had him to thank for her acting career.
