According to Spanish media, Andic fell 150 meters down a cliff when he and several family members were at the Salnitre caves in the Montserrat massif outside Barcelona.

Andic was interested in outdoor activities and often went hiking in the mountains.

It was 1984 when Isak Andic and his older brother Nahman opened the first Mango store in Barcelona. The brothers came from a Turkish family that had immigrated to Spain in 1969.

The fashion giant states in a statement that Isak Andic was "a role model" and that he had dedicated his life to the company with great passion, where he no longer had an active role in the business but remained on the board.

Isak Andic was the richest man in Catalonia.
