Fortum exceeds expectations

Finnish energy giant Fortum reports an operating profit of 240 million euros for the second quarter. It was lower than the same period the year before, but higher than the 194.5 million euros that analysts had expected, according to Bloomberg's compilation.

Sales landed at 1,255 million euros, compared to 1,368 the year before.
