It was on March 25 that Oskar Sundqvist suffered a cruciate ligament injury in a match against Vegas. Not until the end of October was he back on the ice with his St Louis.
In the sixth match back on the ice, the first goal came. Sundqvist equalized to 1–1 after 7.57 in the second period when he pressed in the goalkeeper's return from Matthew Kessel's slapshot from the blue line. Then St Louis pulled away with two more goals.
Tampa Bay's Victor Hedman reduced to 3–2, but the away team did not get closer.
William Nylander scored a goal and an assist when his Toronto beat Boston at home with 4–0. The victory came despite the team captain and star Auston Matthews being absent due to injury.
Maybe it made the guys work a little harder. Some had to move up to other formations... It's hard to cover up for him, but everyone did their job, says Nylander after the match to nhl.com.
