The sailor Vilma Bobeck had hoped for a new success after the Olympic Games silver last summer – but the dream of an America's Cup victory in Barcelona was sunk in the semifinal.
The Swedish boat, with medal companion Rebecca Netzler, Julia Gross and Ida Svensson, got a tough start and finished last in the semifinal's first race.
When the placings 3, 5 and 2 followed, it was clear that Bobeck & Co became fourth and missed the final.
In the Swedish team, the reserves Felicia Fernström and Lovisa Karlsson were also included. Karlsson took bronze in the Olympic Games together with Anton Dahlberg in 470.
In the final, which is sailed on Sunday, Great Britain and Italy will meet.
