Hollywood stars such as Judi Dench, Kristen Bell, John Cena, Awkwafina, and Keegan-Michael Key have lent their voices to Meta's new chat robot, according to a source with insight for Reuters.
According to the source, the voice function with celebrities will be launched in Meta's new AI assistant and will be included in the social media giant's services such as Facebook, Instagram, and Whatsapp.
The effort is aimed at users in the English-speaking world, and the official announcement is expected later in the week.
AI voices are a controversial issue in Hollywood. Earlier this year, film star Scarlett Johansson got into a conflict with Open AI, after they launched an AI voice that had striking similarities to her voiceover in the film "Her".
