122,000 new jobs were created in the private sector in the USA in December, according to monthly statistics from the payroll administrator ADP.
This is the lowest figure since August and a decrease compared to the 146,000 new jobs created in the sector in November.
There were fewer new jobs than expected. The average forecast among analysts was 139,000 new jobs in December, according to Bloomberg's compilation.
