Felix Herngren creates a new TV series – about life in Spain. "Many dream of a new life in the sun – that's what I and my family did too", says Herngren.

Felix Herngren has previously made successful TV series such as "Solsidan", "Bonusfamiljen" and "Vuxna människor". The new drama comedy series "Where the sun always shines" is being made for the streaming service SkyShowtime and is being filmed on Mallorca.

Herngren explains that the series is inspired by the fact that many Swedes want to create a new life in Spain, something he himself has done. But it doesn't always turn out as planned.

"After just one week in our new country, the idea for this series began to take shape. There are so many life stories, dreams, and fascinating cultural clashes to transform into both drama and comedy", he says in a press release.

Herngren is directing the series. The main roles are played by Erik Johansson, Rakel Wärmländer, Per Lasson, and Lina Linnertorp.

The plot revolves around a successful couple who move to Spain after making a fortune by selling an Ica store. Their luxurious life has just begun when their lives take an unexpected turn during a 50th birthday party.

The series will premiere on SkyShowtime later this year.
