Three people have been shot dead and four injured at a birthday party in a home in central France after a perpetrator opened fire.
The suspected perpetrator is said to have been a neighbor who was not invited to the party. After firing shots at the partygoers, he shot himself to death, according to local authorities.
Among the fatalities are the young man whose birthday the party was celebrating, his father, and a guest.
It's a shock, you can't prepare for it, says the village mayor Michel Marien to the newspaper La Montagne.
The police are now working to find a motive for the shooting.
