Around 300 families are fleeing northwestern Pakistan since around 35 people have been killed in sectarian violence.
In recent months, around 150 people have been killed in sectarian clashes between people belonging to the two Muslim denominations, Sunni and Shia, in the northern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which borders Afghanistan.
Around 300 families have been relocated to Hangy and Peshawar since this morning in search of safety, says a high-ranking source, and adds that more families are preparing to leave.
Another high-ranking source reports that the latest deadly clashes occurred on Saturday. More than 20 are also said to have been injured.
Only a few days earlier, more than 40 people were killed in an ambush against a convoy.
