An explosion occurred at an apartment building in the Linero area of Lund during the night leading up to Wednesday. The object that detonated is suspected to have been some kind of more powerful firework, according to the police on their website.
Damage has occurred to a door and soot damage to the facade. Magnus Lefèvre, the police officer on duty, describes the damage as minor.
The police were alerted by several callers in the area and nearby about a loud bang shortly after 3 am on Wednesday.
An investigation into reckless endangerment has been initiated.
The address was previously involved in an investigation into a stabbing incident at the end of September, where two men were injured. One of them, a man in his 30s, died a few days later due to the injuries he sustained.
