It is a multi-family house and the detonation has occurred at a balcony door leading into an apartment located on the ground floor, says the police's press spokesperson Thomas Fuxborg.
The area is cordoned off for technical investigation and the police have initiated a preliminary investigation regarding reckless endangerment.
It is unclear whether there were people in this residence. I have no information that there were, and therefore the charge is reckless endangerment, says Fuxborg.
Later on Saturday evening, the Gothenburg police receive an alarm about another bang, this time in the Kålltorp district, writes Göteborgs-Posten.
A lantern has been shattered, and the glass door to a gate is broken, so there are no major damages. It does not appear to be any personal injuries, says Thomas Fuxborg to GP.
