Several people called the police at 5 am on Sunday morning and alerted them to a loud bang on Gärdet in central Stockholm. It is still unclear exactly what exploded, but no one is physically injured.
The glass door and some side windows have been damaged, as well as a car that was parked outside the door, said Carina Skagerlind, press spokesperson for the police, during the morning.
The crime classification is general reckless destruction. A man has been arrested.
He is suspected of some form of involvement, says Anna Westberg, press spokesperson for the police.
By the morning, no one else had been arrested, but the police do not rule out that more people are involved.
We are working broadly, says Westberg.
The police have conducted a technical investigation and will also be knocking on doors to talk to residents in the affected building. Additionally, material from surveillance cameras will be reviewed.
