The committees for the environment and health, as well as civil liberties and rights, are once again the most "Swedish" in this year's EU Parliament.
Now that all committee seats have been allocated, it appears that both the environment and health committee (Envi) and the rights committee (Libe) will have six ordinary Swedish members over the next five years.
Libe is the committee that, among other things, handles asylum and migration issues, as well as police matters and fundamental democratic rights. One of the members there will be Charlie Weimers (SD), who also hopes to become one of the committee's vice chairmen.
Other heavyweight Swedish committees will be equality (Femm), internal market (Imco), and fisheries (Pech), all of which will have three ordinary Swedish members and at least two Swedish alternates.
In contrast, the culture committee (Cult) and the subcommittee on human rights (Droi) will be completely without Swedes.
In these committees, the EU Parliament's 21 Swedish members will take their seats, either as ordinary members or alternates (s):
Abir Al-Sahlani (C): Libe (civil liberties and rights), Deve (development), and Femm (equality)
Alice Bah Kuhnke (MP): Libe, Femm (s), and Imco (internal market, s)
