A pair of blue suede shoes worn by Elvis Presley has been sold for the equivalent of 1.6 million kronor, reports BBC.

Presley wore the shoes during several stage performances in the 1950s, and auctioneer Andrew Aldrigde calls them "iconic".

Blue suede shoes, Hound dog, these are things you think of directly when you talk about Elvis Presley. They are a fantastic part of showbiz, music and popular culture.

The shoes were sold at an auction in Devizes, England on Friday. The price was 95,000 pounds plus fees and tax, which amounts to 120,000 pounds.
