Siw Malmkvist's life is becoming a documentary, writes Helsingborgs Dagblad. The 87-year-old singer is currently being followed by a film team that is documenting both her present life and her seven-decade-long career.
It is Stina Gardell and Frida Neema Järnbert from Mantaray Film who are behind the project and are now also seeking private individuals' archive materials.
The search has been posted in a Facebook group in Siw Malmkvist's birthplace Landskrona and the film team would like to get hold of 16mm film from the 1940s to the 1960s.
Siw Malmkvist was born on December 31, 1936, and broke through as a 22-year-old in 1959, not least when she won Melodifestivalen with the classic "Augustin". She has also had great successes abroad, including in Italy and Germany.
