A hacker group may have gained access to large amounts of internal information from Disney – the company is now investigating the matter. This is reported by BBC.
The hacker group Nullbulge claims to have gained access to thousands of messages from Disney's chat system and that the leaked material, among other things, concerns the company's upcoming projects.
The group itself states that they are targeting companies that use artificial intelligence, which they believe is harming the creative industry. Nullbulge claims to have obtained the information through an insider source.
A spokesperson for Disney is now commenting on the matter, stating that they are investigating the incident, according to BBC.
BBC has also been in contact with the hacker group, but has not been able to verify whether the data breach is genuine.
In connection with AI development, several authors, artists, and artists have expressed concerns about how the new technology is affecting the creative industry.
