Linköping has had a tough season on the football pitch and with five rounds left of the Women's Premier League, Spanish coach Rafael Roldán gets fired.
"We as a club have made a decision to make a change. Sports are the core of everything we do and at this level, results are important, both short-term and long-term", says the club's chairman Maria Hagström in a press release.
LFC has only managed to scrape together 25 points in 21 matches and is eighth in the table. Moreover, the Champions League qualifying round was a fiasco with an exit against Sparta Prague for the Östergötland women, who finished third in the Women's Premier League last year after being in the gold medal battle until the very last round.
Finn Jonne Kunnas, previously assistant coach, takes over the head responsibility after Roldán.
