A man in his 30s is accused of having defrauded seven people of nearly 3.5 million kronor, reports SVT Västernorrland. He is now being prosecuted for gross extortion and gross fraud.
Among other things, by pretending to be a woman, the man made contact with the plaintiffs through dating apps. The man is then said to have threatened to leak nude photos or make reports of sexual offenses.
Among the victims are both men and women.
The individuals are said to have been blackmailed during varying periods between 2019 and 2023, from one month to up to a year.
The man admits to crimes against some plaintiffs, but denies other parts of the indictment, writes SVT.
