Death in the Olympic Village - Coach Suffered Cardiac Arrest

A death has occurred in the Olympic Village in Paris. Samoa's 60-year-old boxing coach Lionel Elika Fatupaito suffered a cardiac arrest on Friday and despite resuscitation attempts, his life could not be saved, announces the International Boxing Federation (IBA).

"Lionel's dedication and passion for the sport have left an indelible mark on the sport. His legacy will inspire future generations", writes IBA in a statement.

The Olympic boxing competition began on Saturday.
