The truck manufacturer AB Volvo has received a large order for 300 electric heavy trucks from the Danish logistics company DSV.
The order also includes 500 trucks driven by diesel and gas.
The deliveries for all trucks are scheduled to take place during the period 2024-2026.
The Volvo share rises by 0.6 percent on the Stockholm Stock Exchange after the news.
"This order is proof of their confidence in our company and shows that zero-emission transportation is a sustainable solution here and now," says Volvo Truck CEO Roger Alm in a press release.
When the order is delivered, DSV will have one of the largest fleets of electric trucks in Europe, and for AB Volvo, it is one of the largest commercial orders so far for electric trucks.
