Brands that belong to the event arena Dalhalla were sold in secret at an underpriced rate, according to a revelation by P4 Dalarna.
The deal took place in 2019 between a council manager and the private company Dalhalla management at a price of 190,000 kronor. No external valuation of the property was carried out.
Hans Lind, professor of property economics, has made a rough valuation of the land for the radio. He values the land, which does not include the stage and buildings in the arena, to be worth at least 1.5-2 million kronor as a minimum reasonable price.
Despite Dalhalla's significance for Rättvik, municipal politicians were not informed about the deal. A council manager cannot sell such an important piece of land without a decision by the municipal council, according to Olle Lundin, professor of administrative law at Uppsala University.
The manager who carried out the sale has left the council but claims he felt forced to go through with the deal.
