The Left Party leader Nooshi Dadgostar highlights the road choice in the government issue as a factor behind the resignation.
"He tried to get the Centre Party to take a stand for a clear government alternative, but didn't get a hearing. A tragic end. As long as the Centre Party can't take a stand, they won't move forward", she writes on the platform X.
According to the Sweden Democrats' party leader Jimmie Åkesson, it's understandable that Muharrem Demirok chose to resign now.
"I can't blame him, taking over the deeply divided Centre Party after Annie Lööf was a kamikaze mission from the start and I'm surprised it lasted that long. I wish Muharrem all the best in the future", Åkesson writes.
Even Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) and The Liberals' party leader Johan Pehrson wish Muharrem Demirok good luck in the future.
"Now it's up to the Centre Party to choose a new party leader and way forward", says Kristersson in a written comment.
"There are too few unifying figures like you. I appreciate the honest style you've had in debates and your strong support for Ukraine", Pehrson writes on X.
The Social Democratic Party leader Magdalena Andersson writes on X, among other things, that Demirok has been "a strong voice for better growth policy" while The Green Party's spokesperson Daniel Helldén and the Christian Democrats' leader Ebba Busch thank him for interesting debates.
"Being willing to take on the responsibility of leading a political party is honorable", Ebba Busch writes.
