Cyber attacks on Swedish authorities are becoming increasingly advanced, a survey by Sveriges Radio Ekot shows.
In principle, all 20 authorities that Ekot has been in contact with state that simpler attacks occur daily. They are also becoming more advanced and harder to defend against.
I would say that it is a constant flow, possibly increasing and above all more sophisticated, says Mattias Joelsson, responsible for IT security at the Consumer Agency, to the radio.
However, the attacks are not increasing at the same high rate as in recent years. According to statistics from the cyber security company Truesec, the number of attacks that they have repelled for their customers has stabilized at a high level this year, after increasing sharply during the two years prior.
