The Cultural Centre Stadsteatern becomes the main stage for Cullberg in Stockholm. The three-year collaboration begins with the world premiere of choreographer Renan Martins' "Guerrilla", with music by Olof Dreijer, on March 6.
"Cullberg has wanted to find a fixed venue in Stockholm, with the opportunity to perform several shows, we want to broaden the repertoire to also include Cullberg's internationally recognized dance. This is a 'win win' for both parties", says theatre and performing arts manager Maria Sid according to a press release.
Birgit Cullberg's dance company started in 1967 and the first premieres took place at Stockholm's Stadsteatern.
