Crazy Town singer Seth "Shifty Shellshock" Binzer has been found dead in his home, reports American media, citing the Los Angeles coroner.
According to the authorities, he died on 24 June, aged 49. No cause of death has yet been made public.
He was best known as co-founder and singer of the American rap metal group Crazy Town. He also collaborated with British producer and musician Paul Oakenfold. Binzer had been open about his struggle with addiction and appeared in the reality series "Celebrity Rehab".
Crazy Town released their first album in 1999 and achieved success with the single "Butterfly", which topped the Billboard chart.
The band released their second album in 2002, but split up the following year. They reunited in 2007 and released a third album in 2015. In 2017, the band changed its name to Crazy Town X.
