A police officer was convicted in the district court for unauthorized access to computer systems after conducting searches on a man who had started a relationship with the police officer's former partner. Now the verdict has been upheld by the court of appeal, which means that the police officer will have to pay 30 day-fines and lose their job.
According to Dagens Juridik, the police officer was convicted of four counts of unauthorized access to computer systems. The officer had conducted searches on the other man, as well as on his car, children, and ex-partner.
The police officer admits to the searches but denies any wrongdoing.
