The so-called Nytorgsman was considered so dangerous that a glass partition was put up between him and a journalist who wanted to interview him. Nevertheless, the serial rapist was released about half a year later, after serving two-thirds of his prison sentence.

In the summer of 2023, the Prison and Probation Service made the assessment that the convicted rapist was only allowed to meet the journalist behind a glass partition that "makes physical contact impossible", writes the newspaper Journalisten.

The man was sentenced in 2021 to five years in prison for seven rapes, but was released in March. Recently, he was arrested for a new case of suspected rape of a younger woman, and is being held in custody awaiting trial.

The man denies the crime.
