Four climbers have been found dead on Mount Blanc. Two of them were Italians and two were from South Korea.
The climbers died due to their body temperature dropping below normal, and they had "died of exhaustion", according to the local prefecture. The bodies were found between 100-200 meters from the top.
The individuals made contact with the rescue service on Saturday afternoon, but due to the deteriorating weather, rescue workers were unable to reach the location where they were.
Mount Blanc is the highest peak in the Alps and is a popular destination for climbers from all over the world.
