Elias Pettersson celebrated his 26th birthday at home in Rogers Arena in Vancouver.
It was an evening to remember for the Swede.
The in-form NHL star from Ånge equalized Calgary's lead with a power-play goal early in the second period. When Vancouver shortly thereafter took the lead 2–1 through Pius Suter, Erik Brännström was credited with an assist.
And in the final period, the two Swedes collaborated on the 3–1 goal, the last of the match. Brännström, who is playing his first season with the club, broke his goal duck in the Vancouver jersey. Elias Pettersson provided the assist.
