When the Prison and Probation Service examined the care company, several employees were found to have had contacts with gang criminals. Now, parts of the collaboration with the company have been stopped, reports SR Ekot.
The company, which among other things runs HVB homes, sells its services to many Swedish municipalities. At the same time, one tenth of its employees visited prisoners at various correctional facilities in 2023 and 2024, according to a report from the Prison and Probation Service's security department.
The authority considers this to be "remarkably high" and has therefore removed the company from a procurement process.
The company, however, disputes the information and has requested that the matter be tried in court.
