British economy grew in May

The UK's economy grew by 0.4 per cent in May after zero growth the previous month.

The increase was greater than expected. Analysts had on average counted on a growth of 0.2 per cent, according to a compilation from Bloomberg.

Industrial production rose by 0.2 per cent in May and on an annual basis, industrial production has increased by 0.4 per cent.
