More than 32 million passengers flew via the state-owned Swedavia's ten airports last year. This contributed to the company turning a loss of 318 million kronor the previous year into a modest operating profit of 26 million kronor.
The turnover for the full year increased simultaneously by 462 million kronor to nearly 6.4 billion kronor.
The trend break is primarily linked to a greater demand for international travel. Domestic travel, however, continues to decrease, by 9 percent last year.
Last year, Bra also announced that the airline is leaving Bromma Airport in favor of Arlanda.
"The gathering of Stockholm's domestic flights at Arlanda creates, in the long run, conditions for stronger domestic flights. In the short term, however, the news brings significant challenges for Swedavia," the company writes in its annual report, referring, among other things, to the layoffs of 50 employees at Bromma.
