There were mixed tones on the leading exchanges in Asia after a couple of hours of trading on Tuesday.
In Tokyo, both the important Nikkei 225 and the broader Topix index were up, 0.2 percent and 0.5 percent, respectively.
In Shanghai, the mood was darker, the composite index had fallen by 0.5 percent. The Shenzhen composite index had also fallen by around 1 percent.
In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng index had fallen by 1 percent.
