IFK Göteborg is fighting to stay in the top division of Swedish football. Now comes a heavy blow in the relegation battle: Paulos Abraham will miss the rest of the season due to an injury.
"Incredibly sad news – but we support you all the way, Paulos", the club writes on its Instagram.
The 22-year-old injured himself during the derby against Gais earlier in the week. He is "Blåvitt's" top scorer this season with his seven goals in 22 top division matches.
"It feels really sad. I became clearly sad when I got the news. I'll start rehab more or less immediately, but I won't be able to play in the last matches. But I'll do everything I can to support the team during the end of the season", says Abraham to the club's website.
