The US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is traveling to Israel on Monday in yet another attempt to push for a ceasefire in Gaza.
The visit is Blinken's eleventh since the war broke out in October last year.
He will first visit Israel and then travel to the Middle East during the week. Previously, he has, among other things, visited Qatar and Egypt during his visits.
Blinken will, during the visits, "discuss the importance of ending the war in Gaza, releasing all hostages, and alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people", according to a statement from the Foreign Ministry.
