American Express is to pay fines totaling 230 million dollars, equivalent to approximately 2.5 billion kronor, because the company used overly aggressive sales methods, reports Wall Street Journal.
The American credit card giant states that the company has collaborated with the relevant supervisory authorities to address the problems, including through changes in the organization and training of employees. According to American Express, the criticized methods have not been used since 2021.
