The President of the USA, Joe Biden, is expected to travel to Germany next week, according to American government sources.
The visit is planned for Friday and will only last one day – but Biden's trip is still considered significant since a previously planned trip had to be cancelled due to Hurricane Milton's approach. At that time, Biden would have met the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, the British Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, and the German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz.
Additionally, a meeting was scheduled with representatives of countries supporting Ukraine in the Russian invasion war. The so-called Ramstein Group has previously met at the American military base of the same name.
The development in the Middle East is also on the agenda during Biden's meetings with the German Chancellor, Scholz, and President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
