The Norwegian food company Orkla – with brands such as Felix, Bob, and Abba in its portfolio – reports a significant profit increase for the second quarter of the year.
The profit before tax rose to 2.6 billion Norwegian kronor. This can be compared to 1.8 billion in profit during the corresponding quarter a year earlier.
Revenues increase marginally to 17.2 billion, up from 17.1 billion
"The positive trend since the beginning of the year has continued during the second quarter," writes CEO Nils K Selte in a comment.
Orkla's share has increased in value by almost 12 percent on the Oslo Stock Exchange before the report, which is slightly more than the rest of the stock market.
