Ingrosso, who recently appeared in a supporting role in "Jönssonligan kommer tillbaka", seems to be betting even more on film. What role he will play in Östlund's new film is unknown, but it is clear that he will be accompanied by stars like Kirsten Dunst and Keanu Reeves, who have already been confirmed for the film's leading roles.

Other new names in "The entertainment system is down" are Sanna Sundqvist and Tea Stjärne, according to Deadline.

The film takes place on board a Boeing 747 that is about to crash. When the entertainment system suddenly stops working, the passengers are forced to be bored, socialize, and talk to each other. Östlund has been inspired by a social psychological study in the USA, where participants showed strong reluctance to spend 6 to 15 minutes alone in a room without being able to do anything else but think.

The film is intended to premiere in Cannes 2026, and Östlund has previously said that he hopes to be the first director to win three Golden Palms in a row. He won the coveted prize for both "The Square" and "Triangle of Sadness".
